There is a new way to get Medicaid health care! Most people will get the same Medicaid services in a new way – through health plans. You will be able to choose the health plan that is best for you. A health plan is a group of doctors, hospitals and other providers. They work together to give you the health care you need. Everything will come from the same plan. This includes physical health, mental health and medicine. Have questions? Call to get answers to your questions about NC Medicaid Managed Care. The call is free. Phone 1-833-870-5500 (TTY: 1-833-870-5588). Hours of operation are 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., seven (7) days a week.

To safely serve customers who need assistance, the Department of Social Services is accepting applications for Food and Nutrition assistance, Medicaid, Work First Family Assistance or other DSS Services online, by phone or by mail. For additional information on assistance programs offered during the COVID-19 pandemic, please click here.


 

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services allows you to do a pre-assessment through ePASS to determine if you are potentially eligible for assistance.  Actual eligibility determination must be done at the Granville County DSS.
