Granville County operates a full-time IT staff that work in conjunction with contract staff to provide technology services.

IT security and compliance is a shared responsibility among county staff, elected officials, interns, and volunteers. Granville County IT systems and practices support staff and help personnel, elected officials, and volunteers conduct County business in an effective and efficient manner.

The IT Steering Committee is responsible for overseeing the Information Technology Policy and also works with staff and department heads to align IT with the overall goals of each department including making recommendations about IT purchasing.
