Granville County Animal Management exists to protect the public from incidence and harm from animals while protecting domestic animals from neglect and abuse. Animal Management is also responsible for upholding and enforcing Granville County Animal Management Ordinances, State of North Carolina Regulations, and applicable federal regulations.
Through the Granville County Animal Shelter, stray and unwanted animals are provided with proper living conditions, sanitation, nourishment, and basic healthcare needs while every attempt is made to reunite these animals with their owners or to re-home them.
Animal management officers are on-call daily to respond to rabies concerns, loose livestock, vicious dogs, at-large animals, and reports of animal cruelty. The office should also be contacted at (919) 693-6749 for routine animal issues.
Granville County Animal Management/Animal Control is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. for all animal-related issues.
