The Granville County Finance Department is dedicated to efficiently and effectively administering the County’s fiscal affairs in compliance with state law and federal regulations and in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles amidst today’s ever-changing environment.
The department’s primary purpose is to maintain a centralized system of financial accounting, planning, investments, reporting, and controls. In addition, the department manages payroll and accounts payable functions for all county departments including the Sheriff and the Register of Deeds. Finance staff serve as consultants and advisors to the Board of County Commissioners and the county manager on all financial matters.
