Located in the Soldiers Memorial Sports Arena, the Camp Butner Museum provides visitors with a rich visual history of one of Butner’s most important sites. A variety of authentic World War II era artifacts are on display along with pertinent information for those wishing to learn more about military life at the camp during the war.

Original home of the Mary Potter Academy and Timothy Darling Church founder. The G. C. Shaw Museum inspires and stimulates cultural and educational values in a setting that preserves Dr. Shaw’s accomplishments as leader of this historic African-American educational institution.

Located in the “old county jail”, the museum offers a unique look at the history of our great county. Both educational and interactive, the museum engages visitors to step back in time and provides glimpses into the county’s rich agriculture past.
