Disposal Services
All convenience sites accept municipal solid waste (household trash), small construction and demolition debris (from households), and bulky waste (mattresses, couches and other furniture).
Waste Materials NOT accepted:
Tires (must be taken to Oxford Landfill at 6584 Landfill Rd.)
Liquid/Hazardous Wastes (Paint, Pesticide Containers)
Used Oil/Water Mixture
Business Electronic Waste
Yard Waste and Brush
Burned Trash and Burn Barrels
(Examples of Illegal Open Burning)
Wooden Pallets
Car Batteries
Recycling Services
All convenience sites have designated areas for recycling; co-mingled (mixed) recyclables, scrap metal/white goods, motor oil, antifreeze, oil filters and cooking oil.
Electronics: are accepted at two convenience sites only:
the Oxford Convenience Site, 6584 Landfill Road;
and/or the Butner Convenience Site, 2796 Old Route 75
