The Butner Recycling Facility accepts scrap tires, scrap metal/white-goods (refrigerators, freezers, etc.), yard waste, and brush for recycling. All food and liquids need to be removed from the appliances prior to acceptance.
The facility also accepts small loads of construction and demolition (C&D) waste from residents for a fee of $50/ton (effective July 1, 2024). Commercial customers and/or large loads of C&D will be directed to the Oxford Landfill located at 6595 Landfill Road Oxford, NC 27565. Contractors and businesses in and outside of Granville County will be charged for yard waste and brush/debris at $50/ton.
Hours: The facility is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
