Safe Kids Granville County (SKGC) follows the lead of the Safe Kids North Carolina (SKNC) office, working in specific areas of our community to reduce injury risks using educational efforts, incentives, advocacy, enforcement, and awareness. Safe Kids Granville County was established in January 2005 and is led by the Granville County Sheriff’s Office.
SKNC is under the leadership of the NC Department of Insurance-Office of State Fire Marshal and houses the most coalitions in one State with 44 coalitions, covering 59 counties. Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal, Mike Causey, is the Chairman of SKNC.
SKNC falls under the umbrella of Safe Kids Worldwide (SKWW), a global organization with over 400 coalitions in the USA.
