To qualify for congregate meals, one must be:
* At least 60 years of age; and
* A Granville County resident.
Meals are served at all three centers Monday through Friday between 11:30 – 12:00 noon.
Each participant needs to call at least one day ahead, by 11:30 a.m., to order a meal for the following day.
Transportation for seniors who are unable to drive can usually be arranged, but may depend on the area of the county in which he/she resides.
Seniors will be provided the opportunity to voluntarily contribute toward the cost of each meal served. The price that Senior Services pays for each ordered meal is $4.83. Seniors may contribute as much as they can comfortably afford towards that cost.
