Work is underway at the new North Granville Senior Center in Stovall!
We are so excited about this new and improved community resource that will serve the residents of Stovall and northern Granville County. Construction has been underway for just over a month. Stay tuned for more construction updates!
About the North Granville Senior Center project:
A construction contract for the North Granville Senior Center construction contract was awarded to Racanelli Construction South, Inc of Apex in April 2024 and work began in July. Once completed, the 7,400 square foot facility on Oxford Street in downtown Stovall will replace the existing location on US Highway 15.
The new facility will feature administrative offices, dining and fitness areas, a multipurpose meeting room, craft room, a kitchen featuring ceramic quarry floor tile, and an outside deck area featuring a canopy roof and composite floor decking.
The building will also be equipped with a 150-kilowatt standby generator and automatic transfer switch to provide electric service to the building during a power outage.
