“The passing of David Richardson brings a personal and professional feeling of loss,” said Tony Cozart, Chair of the Granville County Board of Commissioners. “I had the pleasure of meeting him when he first decided to file for election to the Board of Education. I have found him to be a consistent champion for children since taking office. My wife, Jacqueline, and our entire family are deeply saddened by this sudden loss.”
“I had the privilege of working closely with Mr. Richardson as a school liaison member,” continued Cozart. “This close working relationship was truly a special joy. Mr. Richardson’s commitment to the children of Granville County and to our school system is unquestioned. I appreciated his strong voice of advocacy, commitment to service, and spirit of reason. On behalf of the entire Granville County Board of Commissioners, I express condolences to his wife, Becky, the Peace’s Chapel Church family, his colleagues on the Board of Education, and all employees of Granville County Public Schools.”
