The Granville County Board of Elections was recently awarded a $50,000 (approximate) grant through the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) as preparations are being made to upgrade voting equipment for the first time since 2006.
A simulated election and test of the new voting system and ballot marking device, purchased from State Board of Elections certified vendor Printelect/ES&S, the Granville County Board of Elections’ current vendor, will be held during a public meeting as part of the decision-making process to purchase new voting equipment. The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Granville County Expo & Convention Center, located at 4185 US Highway 15 in Oxford.
This meeting is open to the public. Attendees will need to social distance and will be required to wear a mask. If you would like to attend the meeting in person, it will be limited to 30 attendees at a time. Please email Tonya.Burnette@granvillecounty.org to sign up to attend the meeting.
