NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Granville County Board of Commissioners at their meeting on Monday, June 17, 2019 will hold public hearings at 7:00 PM or later in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Auditorium at the Granville Expo and Convention Center at 4185 US Highway 15 South, Oxford, N.C. 27565.  

 

The purposes of the public hearings are to hear public comments on the following land development code text amendment petitions:

 

Granville County Land Development Code Text Amendment Petition

AMENDMENT TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) THAT WOULD AMEND THE DEFINITION OF SUBDIVISION TO BE CONSISTENT WITH STATE LAW.

 

Granville County Land Development Code Text Amendment Petition

AMENDMENT TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) THAT WOULD AMEND THE CODE BY ADDING CLUSTER SUBDIVISION STANDARDS FOR MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS IN RURAL AREAS OF THE COUNTY IF A DEVELOPER INTENDS TO DESIGN A CLUSTER SUBDIVISION.

 

Granville County Land Development Code Text Amendment Petition

AMENDMENT TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC) THAT WOULD REMOVE THE THOROUGHFARE RIGHT-OF-WAY PRESERVATION REQUIREMENT IN THE SUBDIVISION CODE. THE AMENDMENT WOULD ADD A STREETSCAPE BUFFER REQUIREMENT FOR MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS FOR ALL LOTS THAT ADJOIN AN EXISTING STATE MAINTAINED STREET.  THE AMENDMENT ALSO ESTABLISHES STREETSCAPE BUFFER STANDARDS. 

           

Changes may be made in the advertised proposals, which reflect debate, objections, and discussions at the hearings. Any interested citizen is invited to attend.
