Doug Logan of Granville County Emergency Management announced today that the Emergency Shelter originally scheduled for Northern Granville Middle School has been cancelled, due to a change in the storm track. The decision was made after discussion with the National Weather Service and the forecast for minimal impacts to the Granville County area. Emergency Management officials have decided NOT to open the planned shelter at Northern Granville Middle School and to re-direct shelter resources to other areas of the state that are more heavily impacted by the storm.
