To qualify for home delivered meals, the following requirements
must be met:
* Must be at least 60 years old;
* Must be a resident of Granville County, and
* Must be homebound, due to health related reasons.
Meals are delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
All referrals for home delivered meals must have an in-home assessment conducted by the Nutrition Program Manager to determine if the criteria for home delivered meals is met.
Home delivered meal recipients and their families are provided the opportunity to voluntarily contribute toward the cost of each meal. The price paid by Senior Services for each meal is $4.83. Each senior who receives a home delivered meal may contribute as much as he/she can comfortably afford.
