Due to supervisors’ scheduling conflicts, the Granville Soil and Water District Board will hold their monthly meeting Sept. 16 at 7 p.. The meeting will be held at the Farm Service Center, 518 Lewis Street in Oxford. The Board will be back on schedule for the October meeting.

The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments’ Workforce Development Board announces the release of a “Request for Proposals” to provide employment and training services for One-Stop Operator, Adult Dislocated Services and Young Adults ages 16-24 with barriers to employment in the areas of Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren Counties. Comprehensive services shall be provided under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for Program Year 2020 (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.)

All interested persons please take notice that the Granville County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. at the Granville Expo and Convention Center located at 4185 Highway 15 South, Oxford. The purpose of the Special Meeting is for the Board to go into closed session to discuss a matter of attorney-client privilege and a personnel matter pursuant to General Statute 143-318.11(a)(3) and (6).
The Granville County Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee meeting originally scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 has been cancelled. Members of the Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee have been invited to tour Product Recovery Management on Oct. 7, 2019. A quorum of this committee may be present for the tour.
