To help guide Medicaid recipients through the process of determining eligibility and/or selecting a health plan and primary care provider, a series of informational meetings will be held in various locations across the county. Participants are asked to bring valid identification or the notification letter sent from the Department of Health and Human Services. It is also recommended that senior citizens bring a trusted family member or friend to assist in the selection process.

A PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE MEETING will be held on Aug. 13 regarding the portion of NC 50/Creedmoor Road from I-540 to just north of NC 98, where plans are to widen to four lanes. The meeting will be hosted by the N.C. Department of Transportation to unveil plans and inform the public about the project, as well as to request input on the proposed design. Although the meeting is to be held in Raleigh, this project will affect residents of Granville County, who are encouraged to attend.
