The Granville County Senior Center in Oxford will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in being a vendor please call Julie Brockman at 919-693-1930. There is an application you will need to complete. Booth rental will be $20.00 and vendors are asked to donate a raffle prize. We encourage local crafts people to join us and showcase their handmade goods.
The Veterans Day Parade will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Downtown Oxford at 3 p.m. The parade will start at Belle Street/Williamsboro Street at CVS travel from Williamsboro, turn Right onto College Street and end at East McClanahan Street in front of the Fire Dept. Line up will start at 2 p.m. on E. Spring Street in front of the Tennis Courts. Parade will start sharp at 3 p.m. “Thank You For Your Support”
The November 7, 2016 regular meeting of the Granville County Board of Commissioners will be held at Butner Town Hall located at 415 Central Avenue, Butner at 7:00 p.m. The change of meeting place will be just for this one meeting. Amedisys Home Health and Hospice and Granville County Senior Services will sponsor a Veteran’s Breakfast on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Granville County Expo and Convention Center. This event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will honor veterans from all over Granville County.

The Granville County Human Relations Commission will hold its Diversity Reception and Awards Program on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Granville County Expo and Convention Center, 4185 US Hwy 15 South, Oxford, NC. The program will start at 6:30 p.m. Dorothy Stewart Crowe will be the speaker. Heavy hors d’oeuvres with refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
