This page was created to communicate steps Granville County Government continues to take in the workplace in response to the pandemic and to provide additional resource information to support our employees. Granville County COVID-19 Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG)
A collaboration between Granville County Human Resources and Emergency Management, the SOG establishes guidelines for departments in the event of a suspected or confirmed COVID -19 case within the department. The document is revised and redistributed to all department heads whenever new information becomes available or CDC updated guidelines are announced.
Some of our employees have been infected with the virus and we have taken action in each case to limit the spread and promote the health of our workforce. The SOG outlines steps that must be taken to prevent the spread of the virus. We will continue to implement new learnings and safety protocols to existing measures which already include panels and shields to reduce viral spread and contamination, supporting remote work for applicable positions, and encouraging social distancing in the workplace. Departments may contact Granville County Emergency Management for masks, hand sanitizer, and cleaning products.
