The following is a list of Granville County early voting sites and a description of each buffer zone concerning 2024 electioneering. Buffer zones are set as designated by G.S. 163-166.4. Election officials will mark buffer zones with red duct tape.
Campaigners are not to enter the buffer zone except for use of restroom facilities, specific business with the Board of Elections office, business with another entity in a building jointly occupied, or for voting purposes. Please note public restroom facilities may not be available at all polling places. Access to non-public restrooms is at the discretion of the Chief Judge.
While inside the buffer zone for one of the aforementioned reasons, campaigners should refrain from engaging in activities that violate or appear to violate campaigning guidelines. Campaigning issues or suspected violations are to be brought to the attention of the Chief Judge of the precinct and the Board of Elections office.
Each early voting site has a designated campaigning area as described below. Campaigners should never block traffic, parking, or entrances. Campaigning supplies should not be left unattended and may not be left at the site overnight.
Oxford Early Voting Site (in lieu of Board of Elections Office) in the multipurpose room
Credle: Oxford Public Works Building Multipurpose room, 127 Penn Avenue, Oxford, NC
Buffer Zone: 50 ft from the front door of the multipurpose room
Campaigning area: 50 ft out in parking lot not coming within 50 ft boundary.
Signage: Signs are allowed parallel to the sidewalk and Penn Avenue in grassy area.
Creedmoor Early Voting Site (South Branch Library) in the multipurpose room
Address: 1550 S Campus Drive, Creedmoor, NC 27522
Buffer Zone: 50 ft from the main entrance to the library entrance
Campaigning area: If facing the entrance door to the left of the island
Signage: On the left and right of the grassy island.
No tents allowed on the island.
Wilton Early Voting Site (Tar River Elementary School) in the gym
Address: 2642 Philo White Road, Franklinton, NC 27525
Buffer Zone: 50 ft measured from the side door of the school
Campaigning area: If facing the gym to the left of the main entrance door to the left of the island.
Signage: To the left of the main entrance to the gym door.
