Construction of the Granville County Department of Social Services – Butner-Creedmoor Office is moving along steadily at the Dutch Village Shopping Center on East Lyon Station Road.
Residents may have noticed the new signage installed recently and crews are hard at work finishing the painting, IT installation, and moving in furniture and equipment to get this satellite location ready to serve residents of southern Granville County.
Once open, this office will serve as a true satellite location for Granville County DSS where residents will be able to receive all the services currently offered at the Oxford Office (410 West Spring Street, Oxford) and the Child Support Office (122 Williamsboro Street, Oxford).
The opening of a DSS office in southern Granville County aligns with the county’s 2021-2025 strategic plan, which emphasizes the need to expand county services to reach residents currently underserved due to geographic distance from Oxford.
Granville County DSS is pleased to soon be able to provide this convenient and imperative resource for residents of the greater Butner, Creedmoor, and Stem communities.
An opening date has not been set but will be announced in the near future. The facility’s address is 2531 East Lyon Station Road, Creedmoor.
