NC Department of Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey presented $5,000 grants to Granville Search and Recovery and the Virgilina Volunteer Fire Department today (Monday, April 18).
These grants are the result of contributions made by the North Carolina Surplus Lines Association (NCSLA) to help firefighters and rescue squads in North Carolina.
“It is an honor for me to personally be able to present these surplus lines checks to hard working units in Granville County. This money will help needy fire and rescue departments to better protect their communities,” said Commissioner Causey, who also serves as the State Fire Marshal.
