Your health needs change from year to year, and the benefits of your health plan may change annually, too. That’s why – if you are a “senior” – it’s important to evaluate your Medicare choices on a yearly basis. The Annual Election period is the one time of year when all people with Medicare can review and/or change their Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare prescription drug (Part D) plans for 2019.
Open enrollment began on Oct. 15 and continues through Dec. 7. There are well-trained SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) counselors who are ready and able to assist you with changing plans,
Carolyn Keith, Medicare Specialist for Granville County Senior Services, will be at the North Granville Senior Center in Stovall on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. to meet with those wanting to review their plans for 2019.
