The National Weather Service is issuing advisories for Dangerous Heat today, with heat indices reaching upwards of 103 degrees. Anyone working outdoors should stay well hydrated and take frequent breaks. Those with breathing or other medical problems, the elderly, and small children may be most affected by the extremely high humidity and heat associated with the weather patterns for today. Please make sure your outdoor pets and/or livestock have access to shelter, shade and plenty of fresh water.
There is also the potential for Severe Thunderstorms this afternoon including gusty winds and hail. Please remain aware and be prepared to take emergency actions if required.
