General Assistance (GA) aims to help clients unable to afford medications for life-threatening conditions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Households cannot exceed income limits (150 percent of the federal poverty level guidelines). The entire household income from the previous month (from the month of application) must be provided.
- Clients must provide a price quote list for any medication(s)
- Households must be experiencing emergency that rendered them incapable of paying for medications.
Please note that Granville County DSS will not provide General Assistance with any narcotics.
