Granville County operates with a full-time IT staff and works in conjunction with contract staff to provide IT services.

Information technology (IT) security and compliance is a shared responsibility among Granville County staff, elected officials, interns, and volunteers. Granville County IT systems and practices are intended to support staff and help Granville County personnel, elected officials, and volunteers conduct County business in an effective and efficient manner.

 The IT Steering Committee is responsible for overseeing the Granville County Information Technology Policy; the IT Steering Committee also works with IT staff and department heads to align IT with the overall goals of each department and the County, including making recommendations to the County about IT purchasing.
