At the April 2, 2018 Granville County Board of Commissioners meeting, two Volunteer Service Awards were given for beautification and litter pick-up efforts. Alex and Jan Cruz (pictured left) were nominated by Jason Falls, Environmental Services Director, and presented the award by Commissioner Tim Karan. Georgia Phelts (pictured right) was nominated by Butner Mayor Terry Turner and presented the award by Chairman Edgar Smoak. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work in keeping Granville County beautiful.
