Dean Askew of the Providence area of Granville County has joined the Granville County Soil and Water District’s Board of Supervisors. Askew was approved by the N.C. Division of Soil and Water Commission to serve as one of two supervisors appointed to the Granville County board. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Askew, retired Superintendent of the Butner Cattle Field Laboratory, currently works as a Beef Network Coordinator with First Hand Foods. He is married and has two children.
