BOIL WATER ADVISORY
From Granville County Emergency Management: Due to a loss of pressure in the Oxford Water System, a “Boil Water Advisory” has been issued for all water customers in Oxford and Stovall. The attached notice should be printed and posted prominently at all water fountains, ice machines, and other spigots that may be used by staff or the public. Ice machines should be emptied of any existing ice and turned off until otherwise notified. The water is safe for handwashing, and sanitary flushing, but NOT for internal consumption until further notified.
Pressure has been restored in the system with partial capacity, and personnel continue to work to restore full capacity to the system. Water samples are being tested and it is anticipated that the “All-Clear” will be given by Wednesday, 6/7/2017. Additional information will be shared when we have it.
