2017 Coggin’s Clinics

The Granville County Cooperative Extension Service, Large Animal Veterinary Services, Flat River Veterinary Clinic, and Southern States Cooperative of Oxford are working together to provide Coggin’s Clinics for Granville County horse owners.    The dates and times for the clinics are:

 

Friday, February 17, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Large Animal Vet Services) 
Saturday, February 18, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Large Animal Vet Services)
Saturday, February 25 from 8:30 am to 12:30 (Flat River Vet Clinic)

 

All the clinics will be held at Southern States Cooperative, 607 Hillsboro Street, Oxford, NC.  Turn into the west end of the store parking lot, cross the railroad tracks, and proceed to the bulk storage area where you will see the clinic set up.  There is a circular drive that should make it easy for folks to get in and out.

 

Please call the Granville County Cooperative Extension Center at (919) 603-1350 or send an email to gwen_hernandez@ncsu.edu to make an appointment for your horses to be tested.  Vaccinations for rabies, West Nile Virus, EWE/Tetanus, and Equine Influenza/Rhinovirus are also available at the Coggin’s Clinics.  

 

Horses that are taken off the farm to events such horse shows or trail rides, or even for pleasure riding off the farm should be tested for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA).  The Coggin’s Clinics offer this test at a reduced rate for horse owners.
